Privacy notice
Draft for review before public launch. Replace the bracketed details with the company that runs Oh!Chaos
Who we are
Oh!Chaos is run by Elfandor Ltd (company number 17397954), 21 Market Place, Long Buckby, NN6 7RR. Contact: privacy@ohchaos.app.
What Oh!Chaos does
You forward or upload school and family messages. Oh!Chaos uses an AI service (Anthropic) to find dates, tasks and payments, and shows them in your family calendar.
What we keep
- Your email address and first name, and the email address and name of any parent you invite.
- Your children's first names, as you type them, and the items found (title, date, time, amount, short note and the short quote the item came from).
- A log of emails received: sender, subject and whether anything was found.
What we do not keep
Email bodies, PDFs, photos and other attachments are read once, passed to the AI service and discarded. We do not store them.
Who sees your data
Only the parents in your family. We use Cloudflare (hosting and database), Resend (sign-in emails) and Anthropic (reading messages). Anthropic does not use data sent through its business API to train its models. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your calendar stays until you delete it. The email log and unclaimed items are deleted after 90 days. Deleting your account in the Family tab removes your data straight away.
Where your data is processed
Messages and files you add are sent to Anthropic, which runs the Claude AI service, to find dates, tasks and payments. Anthropic processes this data outside the UK, in the United States. Your family data is stored with Cloudflare, and sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Calendars you link are read from the link you give us, only to show you your events, and are not shared.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it or delete it, and complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Contact us at the address above.
Children
Oh!Chaos is for parents and carers aged 18 and over. Please use first names or nicknames for children, and avoid sending sensitive details such as medical information.
